Amin Taha, Founder at architectural practice Amin Taha + Groupwork, will present at the forthcoming Brick Works event on Thursday 19th April in Clerkenwell, London. The evening event, hosted by Hawkins\Brown, will provide in-depth, contemporary case studies on some of the most notable clay brick architecture in the UK’s built environment.

Amin will present the case study of Barretts Grove, a project innovative in both its use of brickwork and material expression. The project won the Small Housing Development Brick Award in 2017 and is shortlisted for the RIBA Sterling Prize.

Amin Taha graduated from the University of Edinburgh and, after working with Zaha Hadid, he began an independent studio, working on residential, cultural, education and infrastructure projects. He set up Amin Taha + Groupwork, and the practice’s work has won several national and international awards, such as the RIBA London Award in 2017 with Barrett’s Grove, which was shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize. In addition to running design and detailing of projects, Amin Taha continues to teach, lecture and crit in schools of architecture.
